How well does Alex's` sidebar upgrade kit fit into the firewire helmet, especially with firewires visor rig? also if you dont mind, how much space does his rig take up in helmet? Sorry for the questions, just trying to decide if I should purchase these rigs/kits together or not. Will let you know when I get there. Take a look of AlexPlusLeds YouTube channel you might find a fitting of his LEDs in a helmet. I ask because I'm unsure of the size of his helmet in relation to the firewire helmet

He never responded when I asked. All I know is that it's not Moguai, Firewire or Volpin.

Managed to chrome some parts today. I think the helmet needs more chrome painting. One of the ear pucks to be painted. Had to repaint some more parts in black gloss again. Need to do a lot of work on the helmet.

Had some trouble with the airbrush. Need to lacquer as long as I can get the chrome right. I only came across a company who could spray chrome on plastic. www.chromespray.co.ukAnyone know where I can get airbrush cleaner fluid?

Have you tried looking on the net google anything Maybe HobbyCraft shop in Chester? only reason i say is I saw they sell the airbrush sets so they may sell cleaner fluid.

I was successful getting the airbrush from Toolstation. Took a while to get use to. Good tool though. I got clear lacquer spray from Wilkinsons.
Hope to get some Maskol to cover some parts.
Have left the electronics for now. Having trouble getting the bluetooth to function. Had to create some for xmas decorations.
Been making a few wood projects again. Also been getting on with spraying the helmet and parts. Had a look on amazon and got a airbrush cleaner kit.

Used a bot of Alclad Chrome paint. Needs a bit of polishing. Used some Maskol to section it off. To make a smooth black area.

Got stuck on this project. Trying to sort Guy helmet.
Having trouble with the ear caps. Going to try some rare earth magnets for the ears. Trying to get all helmets put together mechanically or bonded. Idea being for most of the work to be done, then the helmets can both get chromed up. Then easily put together with the electronics added.
